Some where between Rush, the Grateful dead and Satriani: Passenger pulls together their latest offering that ranges from groove driven, improvisational jamband rock n' roll to more mainstream toe tappin' pop ballads. It's been a long time in the making and while well worth the wait, we hope another comes along soon! Here's a little taste of what you'll find: Shortly after "Take off" you're launched into "The Chances we Take" a hard driving groove that spins ya around and sets the tone for the rest of your trip. The next track "Fly" snaps you back to reality with all it's synthy hooks and an upbeat toe tapping tempo. Passenger hits ya with a good dose of those experimental fantasy rock sensibilities on "A Pebble Through Space" making it one of the stand out tracks. B4 you know it you're well into this well rounded CD and trying to figure out the time signature of "Cat 5" (hint it's in the name). The 6th track "Baker of the Pie" is another heavy space groove that'll make your speakers crackle and your tympanic membrane tingle. That's where "Pull" a nicely phrased, smooth groovin' ballad, brings it down a notch. The radio ready Pop song, "You Didn't have to Go" is one of the oldest Passenger songs - with a new millennium update, this is the best version recorded by far. To close out the CD Passenger lays out another heavy hitter -"Connoisseur of the Vibe".
